1. Pacific Ocean
Pacific Ocean is the largest and the deepest ocean in the world. It is divided into North Pacific Ocean & South Pacific Ocean by the imaginary line Equator. The Pacific Ocean was given its name by the Portuguese explorer Magellan in 1521. It was named Pacific Ocean because 'Pacific' means 'pacify or peaceful' It is between Asia & Oceania and the Americas. It's neibouring Oceans are the Indian Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and the Southern Ocean.
2. Atlantic Ocean
Atlantic Ocean is the second largest ocean in the world. It is divided into North Atlantic Ocean and South Atlantic Ocean by the imaginary line Equator. It is between Europe & Africa and the Americas. It's neibouring Oceans are the Indian Ocean, the Southern Ocean and the Arctic Ocean.
3. Indian Ocean
Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean in the world. It is named for the river Indus and Ancient India on its North Shore. It is between Africa and Oceania. It's neibouring Oceans are the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Southern Ocean.
4. Southern Ocean
Southern Ocean is the fourth largest or second smallest ocean in the world. It is also known as Antarctic Ocean because Antarctica is surrounded by this ocean or Austral Ocean. It is the southernmost ocean in the world. It's neibouring Oceans are the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
5. Arctic Ocean
Arctic Ocean is the smallest and the shallowest ocean in the world. It is also known as the coldest ocean in the world. It is the northernmost ocean. North Pole is located there. It's neibouring oceans are the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
